The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation honors the life of Andrew McDonough. Andrew battled leukemia, septic shock and complications of childhood cancer for 167 days before passing away on July 14, 2007, at the age of 14. Andrew’s B+ blood type became his family and friends’ motto throughout his fight against childhood cancer – to “Be Positive.”
The B+ Foundation is about Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer – raising money through events on college campuses, local events like 5Ks and Golf Outings, corporate partnerships, merchandise sales, and more – to provide financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer nationwide and fund critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research.

Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (PPCC) provides information, education and resources for families of children with life-limiting conditions, and for the medical providers and professionals who support them.
If you are a provider, a parent or a caregiver, the resources on this website are curated by and for individuals like you. PPCC’s website holds practical toolkits, educational webinars, extensive external resources, advocacy information, and more — all designed to Light the Way in pediatric palliative and hospice care.

Ryan’s Case for Smiles (formerly ConKerr Cancer) was founded in 2007 to bring comfort and support to young patients and their families in hospitals around the globe. We started with a simple goal: to create and distribute whimsical pillowcases that give children an emotional boost and remind them that they are not defined by their illness. Today, our programs have expanded to include the children’s entire families so they can better navigate and cope with a very difficult experience and avoid long term emotional trauma. To ensure the highest quality care, we have partnered with PTSD experts at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware to create valuable web-based information and tools designed for each member of the family’s unique experience.
